Volunteer Opportunities!

BELMONT RISING 2016 - A program that addresses domestic violence issues as part of the One Billion Rising campaign. On Friday, January 22nd the first of a series of panel discussions will be taping in the studio. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan will be speaking about the “Cut it Out” initiative with two other panelists. This 30-minute program will take place at Belmont Media Center Studio A this Friday, January 22nd at 9:00 AM. Camera operators are needed. Crew call will be at 8:30 AM.

MIDDLESEX UPDATE - Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan will be hosting a 30-minute talk show on workplace safety issues. The show will take place this Friday, January 22nd at 10:30 AM at Belmont Media Center Studio A. Crew call will be at 10:00 AM. Camera operators are needed.

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS - A 30-minute talk show exploring various topics in mental health. A technical director and camera operators are needed. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning directing in the studio. A staff person will be available for training and oversight. The show will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 29th at Belmont Media Center Studio A. Crew call will be 11:30 AM.

CARING FOR OURSELVES, CARING FOR OTHERS - An hour program on topics related to caregiving. This episode will feature a panel discussion on the Memory Café Movement in Massachusetts. Camera operators, an audio person and technical director are needed for this show. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning directing in the studio. A staff person will be available for training and oversight. A live studio audience will be present. The show will take place at Belmont Media Center Studio A on Tuesday, February 2nd at 6:30 PM. Crew call will be at 6:00 PM.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING - Belmont Media Center will be covering a special town meeting and is looking for camera operators to help us with the coverage. This will be a live multi-camera production using the remote studio. Meeting will take place at the Chenery Middle School Auditorium on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 PM. Crew call will be 6:30 PM.

BEECH STREET CENTER PRESENTS: “VERTIGO AND BALANCE” - A physical therapist from BAYADA Home Health Care will give a presentation on balance disorders, causes, symptoms and treatment. This presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 9th at 1:15 PM and will be located at the Beech Street Center on 266 Beech Street. A single camera operator is needed for this production. Volunteer should arrive at least an hour early for setup.
