BELMONT HIGH SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEY
The BHS varsity field hockey girls won their division and take on the Central Catholic Raiders this Thursday, November 5th on Harris Field at 2:30pm. BMC needs camera operators and sports commentators to cover the game with our mobile production van. Call Jeremy at 617-678-8927 or email jeremy@belmontmedia.org to volunteer. Volunteers earn pizza and drinks (soda/juice) at halftime.
BEECH STREET CENTER PRESENTATION
Megan Ostrander, Springwell’s registered dietitian, will be giving a presentation on Vitamin D at the Beech Street Center. Megan will discuss why Vitamin D is important and how to prevent deficiency. A volunteer is needed to record this event with a single camera. This event will take place on Friday, November 20th at 12:00 PM. Volunteer should arrive an hour early for setup. SPELLING BEE
Belmont Media Center will once again be covering this year’s annual Youth Spelling Bee presented by the Foundation for Belmont Education. This event will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14th at the Belmont High School Auditorium. We are looking for volunteer camera operators to help us cover the event. Since this tends to be a long event, there will be two volunteer shifts. The first shift will take place from 1:30 – 5:30pm. GIFTS OF HOPE TELETHON
Please save the date for the 2015 Gifts of Hope Telethon, an annual fundraiser presented by Belmont Citizen-Herald and Belmont Media Center to benefit the Belmont Food Pantry. The telethon will take place on Saturday, December 12th from 12-5 PM, and will be live on all three BMC channels. Volunteer crew will be needed for this major production.
