Jirair HOVSEPIAN

Member of the Board

Jirair Hovsepian has lived in Belmont for the past fifty eight years.  He has been a member of the Belmont Cultural Council, Belmont Human Rights Commission, Town Meeting, and the Belmont Media Center Board. 

His son graduated from the Belmont School District and the Cleveland Institute of Music receiving a Master of Music Degree in Violin.  Currently he teaches violin, viola and saxophone in the Chenery after school program and in his private studio in Belmont, also performing as a soloist, with chamber groups, and orchestras.

Mr. Hovsepian earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from Lowell Technological Institute and has worked in the defense industry. Now he is retired.

His passion has been photography and videography since a young age.  He has for many years produced artistic, human rights, religious and cultural videos as a volunteer producer for BMC and the community.
